SCHOOL NEWS
Fourth Grade
By Claudia Wells
Our Class has been study
ing about making butter. We
used some real butter and put
it in a mold. Then at noon we
enjoyed our butter with corn
bread.
We’d like to thank our grade
mother. Mrs. Bailey and Mrs.
Fleming for the delicious re
freshments for our Valentine
party.
Pupils having F ebr ua r y
birthdays are: Danny Fleming,
Dean Standard, Grace Cronan
and Tony Wilkerson.
There are nine pupils in our
class of forty that are left
handed. Does any other class
in the county have that many
left handed pupils?

On Valentine Day, three of
our mothers visited our room
and gave us a party. They
served us cup cakes, hearts and
Kool-Aid. We certainly do ap
preciate our mothers.
This is our test week. We
have had all except our Eng- '
lish test. We are hoping our |
studying more will show up on ,
our test.
Mrs. Fears brought a puzzle j
to school for us to work dur- j
ing this rainy weather. We
hope to finish it soon.
CLEANING KID GLOVES
Kid gloves should be washed
in a solution of mild soap and
lukewarm water, according to
Miss Leonora Anderson, head
of the extension clothing de
partment. The gloves may be
washed on or off of the hands,
but they must be washed
quickly and not left to soak.
After washing, roll in a towel
to remove the extra moisture,
then pull into shape and lay
out flat to dry.
