ING THE REGISTRATION
AND LICENSING OF PRO
FESSIONAL ORGANIZERS,
AND FOR OTHER PUR
POSES.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the
Mayor and City Councilmen of
the City of Covington, and IT
IS HEREBY ORDAINED by
the authority of same:
SECTION 1. That from and
after the passage of this Ordi
nance every person who, with
in the City of Covington, shall
solicit memberships in any
club, association or union,
where there is any charge for
membership therein, shall pri
or to any solicitation for mem
bers thtreof, apply to and ob
tain from the City Clerk a
certificate and license authoriz
ing such activities upon his or
her part.
SECTION 11. BE IT FUR
THER ORDAINED by the au
thority aiforesaid that a pre
requisite for the obtaining of
any such license, shall be: (a)
A showing that the applicant
is of good moral character and
that he or she has never been
convicted of any offense against
the laws of any state or of the
United States: (b) That the
applicant is not, nor has ever
been affiliated with or a mem
ber of any organization or
group having Communistic be
liefs: and (c) A payment of a
license fee to be established at
the discretion of the Mayor.
SECTION 111. Any person,
firm or corporation who shall
fail or refuse to comply with
the provisions of this Ordi
nance, shall upon conviction
thereof, be punished as pro
vided in Section 3, Code of Or
dinances, City of Covington,
Georgia.
SECTION IV. BE IT FUR
THER ORDAINED, that all or
dinances, or parts of ordi
nances, in conflict herewith be,
and the same hereby are, re
pealed.

Now Stopover For
National Tours
The Little White House
in Warm Springs, which re
cen 11 y received nationwide
publicity because of the open
ing of the new SIOO,OOO Roo
sevelt museum on the grounds,
has become a stopover point
for numerous national tour or
ganizations, especially from
the North.
George S. Talmage, presi
dent of Talmage Tours, Inc., of
Philadelphia, has announced
that his tours are being re
routed for the first time to
Warm Springs for visits to the
famous cottage.
Travelcade, of New York
city, is bringing a busload to
the Little White House weekly
and will continue on that
schedule. Two groups have al
ready stopped over. Other
tours which have recently vis
ited the Little White Hous*
and new museum include Sterl

Last weekend 200 youths
who had been attending the
State YMCA Christian Life
Conference at Ida Cason Cal
laway Gardens visited the
shrine. Another 200 from the
same organization were visi
tors the previous weekend.
They represented 30 counties
in the Central West YMCA
District of Georgia, with head
quarters in Griffin. School
classes, on annual bus trips,
are almost daily arrivals in the
big parking lot at the entrance.
Yesterday three colonels of
the Spanish Army from Ma
drid, Spain, paid a leisurely
two-hour visit to the Little
White House and the new
Roosevelt museum. They were
guests at Fort Benning and
came to Warm Springs with
Army escort. They were much
impressed with what they saw.
Experiments have shown
