Vacation fever has certainly
taken hold on Salem people at this
writing for we find not only
Salem people on the go, but people
visiting here from other places, i
Among those who have been on
vacation recently are Mr. and Mrs.
James Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Billy
Wayne Norton at Jacksonville
Beach, Fla. The John Addison •
family spent two weeks in Tyler [ ’
and LaPorte, Texas. Mr. and
Mrs. Grady Standard and family, (
Mr. and Mrs. James Standard and
family at Jacksonville Beach. Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Robertson
and family were joined by Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Cook of Atlanta
and all enjoyed a vacation at Fer
nandina Beach, Fla. The Aaron
Kemp family and Bill Ramsey of
Milwaukee. Wis., are now on a '
tour of interesting places in Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Bates and
children of Decatur spent Friday
night with their parents. Mr. and
Mrs. W. C. Bates. They left Satur- ’
day morning to visit relatives in
Sanford, Orlando and St. Peters
burg, Fla. Mrs. Bill Spearman and (
children are now in Alabama visit
ing relatives.

encamped with his Boy Scout

Mr. and Mrs. Bankston Ellington
attended homecoming at Lovejoy
Church on Sunday.
Family reunions still spotlight

held their reunion on the Salem
Church Grounds.

The revival at Hopewell Presby
terian Church closed Sunday
evening after being held the
past week. The services were well
attended. Rev. L. L. Dattler, the
guest minister, brought good gos
pel messages. We appreciated the
cooperation of the neighboring
churches during the revival.
