fered many new suggestions
on teaching songs and music to
the Kindergarten age child.
Mrs. Budd attended an Art
Work Shop for the Pre-School
Child held at the Fulton Coun
ty Health Center in Atlanta.
It was sponsored by the “Ga.
Assoc, for Pre-School Chil
dren”. Many new ideas were
learned in this course which
sbe will use in directing the
art and hand work in the
Kindergarten this coming year.
The Service Guild Kinder
garten in the “Little Red
Schoolhouse” will begin on

Drive. An outdoor meeting is
planned. Everyone is asked to

Guy Evans Home. Mr. Laseter,

plant. He and his family have

Thursday, July 20.
She succeeds Mrs. Bobbie
Burnham of Albuquerque, N.
M., at the helm of the organi
zation, which has more than
430 clubs in the United States,
Canada, Bermuda, England,
France and Japan.
The delegate from the Cov
ington Pilot Club at the con
vention was Mrs. Edna Weigel,
president.
Mrs. Anderson, a charter
member of the Pilot Club of
Joplin and the first Missourian
named to the organization’s
executive committee, also is of
fice manager for the Joplin law
firm of Richart, Titus and
Martin.
She first joined the firm in
1936. Later when her husband,
Joseph R. Anderson, was trans
ferred to Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. An
derson was employed as Chief
Clerk to the U. S. Referee in
Bankruptcy in Tulsa and work
ed extensively as a court re
porter. She became a Certified
Shorthand Reporter and is still
a member of the National
Shorthand Reporters Associa
tion.
She returned with her fam
ily to Joolin in 1956 after nine
years and resumed her associa
tion with the same law firm.
As claims investigator, she
travels in Missouri, Kansas and
Oklahoma, handling primari
ly personal injury and work
men’s compensation claims.
Her work in that respect is
rarely undertaken by women.
A native of Joplin, Mrs. An
derson attended public schools
and Joplin Business College
there, then attended Central
Missouri State College and sub
sequently engaged in private
and formal law studies in Jop
lin and Tulsa.
Mrs. Anderson has taught
Sunday School at First Baptist
Church of Joplin and has en-
