Our hearts go out in deepest
sympathy to Mrs. J 0. Martin and
the loved ones in the passing of
Mr. Martin last Friday in Atlanta.
His going will leave a vacant place
in the home, community, church
and Newton County. We looked
forward to the "Newton Memories”
: that he wrote in Covington News.
He loved Newton County and I’m
sure no one was known and loved
' more than Mr. Martin. We recall
when he taught school in our
community and when he was
County School Supt. He could not
be beat.
As we live over again those
. happy days, we realize that the
most enduring of all treasures are
those of memory. We are grate
ful for his life. His influence will
live on. Our love ones may leave
us for a little while, but they
wait for us on the other side of
death. We commend his loved
ones to our Saviour and pray He
will bless and comfort them.
