George Ramsey Jr. of Milwau
kee. Wisconsin, was in Atlanta on
business for his company last
week and spent Wednesday and
Thursday nights with his parents.
On Wednesday night, others to
join the Ramseys and George Jr.
were Miss Martha Ramsey of Cov
ington, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Robert
son and children, the Aaron Kemp
family and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Cook and children of Atlanta.
Sincere sympathy is extended to
the family of the late C. D. Redd
of Atlanta in his death. Mr s.
Redd is a sister to Mrs. W. C.
Bates Sr. of our community and
they have often visited here and
they have friends who are grieved
with and for them.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kemp and

Kemp and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burns and
young son of Blythe are the
guests of Mrs. J. F. Burns this
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Slade Ellington
are now visiting their son. Slade,
Jr. and his family in Savannah.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Yancey
visited their children, the Dr. J.E.
Taylor Jr. family in Atlanta on
Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Myrick of
Marietta were in Salem Sunday
and also visited friends in Porter
dale.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Loyd, Mr.
and Mrs. J. R. Whitley and son
visited Mrs. J. L. Elliott in Cov
ington last Sunday night. They
also visited Mr. and Mrs. Hodgie
Loyd.
Charles Ellington spent several
days last week in Newton due to
a back injury received while at
work when he fell from a house
top.
Doug Robertson and Herbert
Cook attended the football game
in Athens, Saturday.
