Mrs. Perry Stapp was the Sun

Dan Sharpton is home on a 12
day leave from Camp Beaufort,
S. C., having been called home by
the death of his grandmother, Mrs.
Allie Tankersley.
Friends of E. A. Veal are very
sorry he continues seriously ill
in Newton Hospital, also Dallas
Maddox continues ill at his home.
Those visiting Mr. and Mrs.
E G. Switzer on Thursday were
Mrs. Annie Lizzie Hammonds,
Mrs. Gladys Kitchens, Mrs. Mary
Kitchens and Milton Polk.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Partee and
Mrs. Mary Kitchens were dinner
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Kitchens, Sunday.
Mrs. Lillie Mae Morris and
Miss Louise Shaffer spent Friday
night with Mr. and Mrs. D. D.
Kewell.
Mrs. Annie Lizzie Hammonds
visited Mrs. Johnnie Crow, Thurs.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hamlin and
children of Rocky Plains were
Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. Irby Sharpton,

spending this week in Norfolk, Va..

husband with a birthday dinner on

sion being Linda’s birthday.
Sunday, Nov. 26. will be a day
set aside to raise money to begin
building the new sanctuary at the
Canaan Baptist Church on Salem
Road. There will be dinner on
the ground. So come out and help
this good cause and enjoy the
fellowship with these good people
at Canaan.
