“If from cherished childhood
scenes
Fate and fortune have brought
you here,
\nd your heart still homeward
leans;
Remember—New friends with

Your joys, your sorrows are of
ours a part,
So. help us to know you that
we may share

open heart;
Welcome Neighbor! We’re glad
you are here.”
Newcomers are always wel
come, but when our own come
back to join the community,
there’s an added measure of
gladness in the ring of “wel
come!” And this week we have
two young couples, former
Covington residents, who with
their families, have come
“home” again!
Mr. and Mrs. Clark L. Dur

who is seven months old, have
in recent months returned from
West Palm Beach, Fla., to make
their home at 1204 West Drive.
Mrs. Durpo, the former Miss
Wilma Thompson, is a native of
Atlanta, but spent many of her
school years here with her pa
rents, Mr. and Mrs. W. B.
Thompson. She enjoys all out
door sports, including swim
ming. camping, hiking, with
horseback riding perhaps her
favorite; and bowling.
Mr. Durpo, a native of Lime
stone, Maine, shares his wife’s
enthusiasm for bowling; and in
addition likes hunting and
fishing. He is a manufacturer’s
representative with Pan •
American Window Corporation.
The Durpos have been wel
comed into the congregation of
the First Baptist Church.
From Atlanta come Mr. and
Mrs. James T. Williams and
baby daughter, Mary Elizabeth,
who is three months old, to
make their home at Capes
Apartments on the Atlanta
Highway.
Mrs. Williams, a Social Cir
