II ’elcome
Neighbor I
M. S. M.
“If from cherished childhood
scenes
Fate and fortune have brought
you here,
Ind your heart still homeward
leans;
Remember —New friends with
time grow dear.
Your joys, your sorrows are of
ours a part,
So. help us to know you that
we may share
This experience of Life, with
open heart:
Welcome Neighbor! We’re glad
you are here.”
If anything could be more
welcome than the “flowers in
May”, it is the “flowers in
March”, which bulbs and
spring shrubs have ventured to
give us these past few weeks.
Fortunately, seasons have no
bearing on the welcome which
awaits newcomers, for the wel
come mat is always out to greet
those who choose Newton
County as their home.
This week, it is our privilege
to present as new neighbors,
Mr. and Mrs. James Lunsford
and their son Kerry, 21 months,
who have recently moved from
McDonough to rrake their
home at No. 6 Capes Apts.
Mrs. Lunsford, a native of
New Market, Tenn., follows a
business career in addition to
her role as homemaker. Her
hobbies include swimming,
water skiing, music and danc
ing.
Mr. Lunsford, although a
Newton County native, spent
his youth in Henry County. He
is currently with Dodge Wire
Company. He shares his wife’s
enthusiasm for water sports,
and also enjoys hunting, fish
ing. spectator sports and skat
ing.
The Lunsfords are welcome
additions to the Baptist Con
gregation. as well as the young
er married contingent.
