since Julius has been off due to
surgery. We are glad that he has

Miss Diane Cofer was honor
ed at a birthday party on Saturday
night, April 7, when her parents,
entertained in her honor at the
Salem Clubhouse. Mr. and Mrs.
Sam Cofer were hosts to 45 of her
friends, who helped her to celebrate
her 13th birthday. Various games

serious illness and death of their
uncle, L. J. Stone of East Point.

West. South Carolina.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ellington of
Rome spent the weekend with Mr.
and Mrs. R. L. Ellington aid Fay.
Mr and Mrs Joe Stewart visit
ed Mr. and Mrs. Garland Cook,
Sunday at Stark
Mr. and Mrs W. D. Weldon Jr.
and Mrs B B Lewis of Mc-
Donough were visitors Saturday

Mrs. A. L. English’s guests over
the weekend were Mrs. Ernest
Underwood on Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ennis English and

Sunday. In the afternoon. Mrs.
English and her guest from Mans
field visited Mrs. John M. Hollings
worth and family.
Miss Ann Christian joined Mrs.
Ola Mae Mann. Saturday night for
the Oliver Capes steak supper at
the Elks Club, when he and Mrs
Capes entertained their apartment
families with a steak supper.
Mrs. Hoyt Bailey was a visitor
to Atlanta last Wednesday
Revival services will begin at
Salem Methodist Church on Sun
day, April 15 and continue through
the week preceding Easter. Rev.
Carl Standard will bring the mess
ages, beginning Monday night.
The public is cordially invited.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harvey had
as their dinner guests. Sunday Mr.
and Mrs. Joseph Harvey and
family of Tallapoosa. Mr. and Mrs.

call there were pictures and a very
interesting write up about this
lovely garden in the magazine that
Sunday and I am reminding you
readers so that you will understand
the thrill that was mine Sunday,
when the better-half our children
and I had the pleasure of just
browsing through that lovely show
olace and admiring the lovely
camellias, azaleas and others in
cluding the almost open dogwood.
Mr. Lawrence is an avid (eager)
gardener, loves his flowers, friends
and has opened this lovelv fairy
land of blooms and color to t h e
nublic. I wish every lover of
camellias could see Mr. Lawrences

recovery.
