ily of Mrs. Cody (Leola) Aaron,
who passed away late Sunday.
Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr.
and Mrs. Boyd Carithers and girls
were Emory Smith, Mr. and Mrs.
Claud Thomason and family.
Mrs. Carithers has been sick, but
is much better.
Mrs. Luther Byrd visited several
days with her sister, Mrs. G. P.
Cannon in Elberton recently.

W. H. Shropshire were Mr. and
Mrs. James Portwood and Diane
and Mrs. Anna Portwood all of
Decatur.

Family night was observed on
Saturday night a Covington Mills
Methodist Church. A delicious
supper was enjoyed by all. Nel
son Hoffman of Emory at Oxford,
Missionary to India for ten years,
showed slides and gave an interest
ing account of some of his exper-1
iences in India.
WMU of Calvary Baptist Church
celebrated their 25th birthday on
Saturday night, after the regular
monthly meeting. Mrs. J. I.
Alford, the founder, was unable to
attend. Mrs. Gertrude Niblett
gave as much of the history as
they could get together. If anyone
has minutes or scrapbooks that
could help complete the history,
they would be greatly appreciat
ed. Mrs. Bill Pratt, WMU presi
dent, pinned a white carnation on
each woman, a gift from Mrs.
Alford. The delicious refresh
ments carried out the WMU colors
of lavender and white.
There will be a wedding at our
church. Easter Sunday afternoon.
Stewart Lunsford and Miss Hazel
Hooper will be united in marriage.
We wish them all the happiness.
The WMU will meet Saturday
night at the Pastorium at 7:30.
Training Union at 7 p. m. on Sun
day.
Boys and girls be ready Satur
day afternoon for the Easter Egg
hunt, the bus will run.
Family Night on Wednesday,
April 25.
