MORE THAN just a fund drive, the Cancer Society's
Education-Funds Crusade has four important objectives.
(1) Warn of the dangers of cancer. (2) Arouse to the
chances of cure today and the importance of continuing
research. (3) Impress with the importance of acting on the
precautions in the American Cancer Society literature.
(4) Encourage thoughtful giving in proportion to the
seriousness of the problem.

IN THE COVINGTON NEWS
THE EDUCATION-FUNDS CRU
SADE of the American Cancer So
ciety is in progress this month, and
it already has taught me some new
cancer facts. Here’s one that maybe
you didn’t know: One-half of those
whom cancer is striking can be
cured! At the present rate, cancer
will strike in two of every three
homes, and one of every four people.
It is the major fatal disease about
which individuals can do the most
now.
