Buying Furniture
Has Many Basic
Requirements
Getting the “inside story”
may take a little extra effort,
but it’s time well spent when
you’re buying furniture.
Since furniture is not a
here-today, gone - tomorrow
item, long-lasting comfort is
just as important as good styl
ing. Sofas and chairs con
structed of innersprings and
cotton cushioning give years
of durable, comfortable ser
vice, advises the National Cot
ton Council.
Cotton cushioning is cool,
because it allows the air to
circulate freely. Upholstery
fabrics stay firmly in place on
cotton cushioning, too, elimi
nating that ill-fitting look of
fabrics shifting around. Most
important, springs and cotton
cushioning give comfortable,
firm support.
When you’re furniture shop
ping, take time to get the
“inside story” if you want
long-lasting comfort.
Cotton normally uses 17 per
cent of its total nitrogen by
early squaring and 60 percent
by the early boll stage, accord
। ing to Extension Agronomist
I Larry T. Torrance.

chosen as our destination. We
arrived there just in time to see
them open the gates for t h e
