School Pupils
Plan Trips to
Warm Springs
Georgia school pupils in great
numbers are learning history a’
its source at Warm Springs
just now. At the rate of several
bus loads daily, classes from
schools all over the state, ac
companied by teachers, have
been pouring into the grounds
of the Little White House, most
of them coming especially to
see the beautiful new Roose
velt Museum where a priceless
collection of items, all con
nected with the President's life
and career, is assembled.
The new Memorial Fountain,
bubbling with water from the
famous springs, and the unique
Stones of the States collection,
are other interesting attrac
tions in addition to the Presi
dent’s nearby cottage where
he died in 1945.
Fourteen school groups have
sent notice of their plans to vis
it the Little White House on
Saturday of this week and be
tween 40 to 50 classes will ar
rive by the end of May. Some
groups consists of up to 150, re
quiring several buses for trans
portation.
