Miss Sara Margaret Patter

May 28, 1962 from Gulf Park
College, a Junior College for
Young Women. Miss Patterson
will graduate from the college
division of the school.
During the school year, Miss
Patterson was a member of
the YWCA, Athletic Associa
tion. Jet Maskers, and the Sea
Gull Staff. She served as Pic
ture Editor of the Sea Gull
Staff, and was on the Honor
able Mention List for the Third
Quarter.
Founded in 1921, Gulf Park
is a private women's college
offering the final two years
of high school and the first
two years of college. The col
lege is located on the Missis
sippi Gulf Coast midway be
tween New Orleans, Louisia

Martha Ramsey was hostess to

members present. Minutes of
the last meeting were read and
approved. For community mis
sions, it was decided for the
Circle members to help with
Vacation Bible School.
Mrs. Ernest McCollough had
charge of the program taken
from the Royal Service, “Unit
Theme: Bring Christian in Hu
man Relationships”, with the
topic for May, “Lets Face It —
Honestly”. Portions of scripture
were read from II Tim. 4:4;
Titus 1:13 - 16 and John 8:32.
The closing prayer was given
by Mrs. Jim Pennington after
which the hostess, Mrs. Roy
Kirkus, served a delicious plate
consisting of salad on lettuce,
crackers, cookies and punch.

NEWS
TROOP NO. 720
On May 16, 1962 Troop No.
720 had their meeting in the
Scout Room. We had our busi
ness and our leader, Mrs. Mit
chell, took us to the Tastee
Freez for refreshments. Af
terwards, we went on to her
home for games and fun.
