Covington is a bird sanctuary,
but you wouldn’t believe it as you
set boys, dads, and granddads
with their BB guns stalk and kill
the busy little birds. I detest
insects, but the more birds that
are killed the more insects we will
have. So please, you big brave
hunters put away your shooting
irons and kill no more.
