Resolutions Made
In Memory of Mrs.
Arnold by W.S.C.S.
We pause to pay loving tri
bute to a friend who has pass- i
ed from the pain endured in]
this earthly world to a heaven- j
ly home.
It is not for us to question the;
reason as we see loved ones
slip from our vision to a glor
ious land where there is no 1
pain, no grief, no tears — In
all our hearts there is a long-!
ing for our heavenly home.
Man made in the image of I
God, has that longing after th? I
home not made with hands but'
prepared for us by a loving Fa-1
ther. In the heart of a Chris- !
tian is the living promise, ‘I |
am the resurrection and the
life, he that believeth in me,
tho he were dead, yet shall he
live.”
Mrs. Arnold, before illness I
that kept her in bed for a long
time, was a faithful member of
our Church Choir, always pre
sent and in her accustomed
place, thinking of this cheerful
service and what she has meant
to the Women’s Society of
Christian Service, we are glad
that she was among us for her
span of life.
Whereas: We are deeply sad
dened by the passing of o u r
friend and wish to express our
love for our friend, as a small
measure of comfort to him and
to the members of her family.
Be it resolved further that
we commend them to the bless
ed assurance that “Yea tho they
walk through the valley of the
shadow of death,” the Lord is
ever near to comfort and guide.
Second. That we as fellow
Church Members and friends
strive ever harder in our lives
to serve our Lord and Church.
Striving to be loyal Christians
that we may all meet again
someday.
Third: That a copy of these
resolutions be sent to the fam
ily and that one be made a part
of the minutes of our Society.
Respectfully submitted

Christian Service
