Misses Rachel and Nora King
arrived home this (Thursday)
morning from a delightful two
weeks vacation in Hawaii and
Seattle, Wash., where they
spent four days at the World's
Fair.
Their Hawaiian tour includ
ed side trips to Hilo, Cona, Hile
and Kauai Islands, Pearl Har
bor at Honolula, which they
made headquarters, pinapple
fields, and ether points of in
terest. One of the highlights
of the wedding anniversary of
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward King, on Monday, was
the receipt of an airmal box of
orchids, anthuriums and orien
tal lilies, straight from Hawaii,
with which the Misses King
had remembered the important
day.
Another note of interest was
added to their trip, when Bing
Crosby, at an alfresco dinner
at which they were guests,
planted a tree in a tree plant
ing ceremony, which was part
of the program of entertain
ment. The dinner's emcee point
ed out the fact that Mr. Cros
by's grandfather had partici
pated in a similar ceremony,
and planted a tree there some
one hundred and seven years
ago.
