IN MEMORIUM
Six months have passed sin
ce God called our Class Moth
er, Mrs. Minnie Nan Sandling,
to her eternal home. She was
born in Newton County on
February 12, 1878 and died on
April 24, 1962. For nine years
she was the class Mother of
the Manning Bible Class.
She left four children to fol
low in the path that she trod.
Two of them are members of
the Manning Class, Mrs. R. G.
Pirkle and Mrs. Sam Barnett.
The following poem is most
fitting to her memory.
A Saint has walked among us
Has lived in our own town
And we felt a lovely presence
When’ere she came around.
For her eyes stayed on The
Master
And by Him she was led.
So He wrapped His love about
her
Put an aura round her head.
The life she put together
Will never fade away.
It will live in our hearts and
minds
And help us every day.
A Saint has lived among us
How privileged are we
That she made her life God
centered
That all of us might see.
