the death of Mr. Howard Lav
son in Covington. He was the

in Columbia, S. C., with rela
tives.

ams made a pleasant trip
through the west recently in
cluding lowa, Illinois, Nebraska
and Wisconsin.

Sunday is the last day of Sept,
and a sth Sunday, w’hich means
there will be a “Singing” at Cov
ington Mills Methodist Church at
7:30 p. m. Everyone is extended
a cordial invitation to come and
sing or listen. When joybells are
ringing in your heart, for love of
God because He first loved u s,
it is easy to sing praises unto the
Lord. Can’t you just picture how
heaven will be with everyone sing
ing "Glory Hallelujah” forever
and ever. Os course, there are
those that say they want to go to
the other place, where their
friends will be. but I for one. have
never heard anyone call on Satan
to help them out. They are mis
led by all the things that Satan
tempts with, but God is always
ready when they call on Him for
deliverance.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. Bobby Patrick on their
anniversary! Soehow we left them
out last week, but they were with
the White’s Childer’s and Carson’s
at Rio Vista.
