Joy in HARVEST
| The wheat fields have yielded an abundant crop, because some planted and
labored. At harvest time, there is joy, happiness, and satisfaction in a job
well done.
Our Lord compared those around us, who are in need of the Gospel, to a field
ready for harvest. "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into
his harvest/'
Invite someone to attend church with you this Sunday and share in the joy of
the Harvest.
WM
The Church is God's appointed agency in this world for spreading the knowledge of Ris love
for mon and of His demand for mon to respond Io that love by loving his neighbor. Without
this grounding m the love of God, no government or society oc way of life will long £3
persevere and the freedoms which we hold so dear will inevitably perish. Therefore, even : j :
from o selfish point of view, one should support the Church for the soke of the welfare
of himself and his family. Beyond that, however, every person should uphold and por
ticipate in the Church because it tells the truth about man's life, death and destiny; the uforu iki
truth which olone will set him free Io live os a child of God.
