Spring Time Is
Sundress Time
Spring time is sun time and
even the smallest young lady
fancies pretty new outdoor
frocks.
An excellent choice of fabric
for making an easy-to-care-for
sunddress with shoulder tie st
rings is cotton feed bags From 1
yard of pastel or printed fabric
folded in half, cut a semi-circle
24 inches in diameter. (The
straight edge should be on the
fold of the fabric so that there
will be a complete circle when
the material is unfolded.)
With the circle still folded,
cut out a half-circle four inches
long and two inches deep in the
middle of the straight edge.
Directly on each side of this
semi-circle, cut another half
circle, three inches long and
one-and-a-half inches deep.
There should be three consecu
tive cut-outs -- the middle one
for the neck opening, and the
outer ones for the armholes.
With bias tape of a matching
or contrasting color, bind the
raw edges of the armholes;
neck opening leaving eight in
ches extra at each end for the
shoulder tie strings; and arou
nd the outside of the circle.
Complete by writing the todd
ler's name on the front, one
inch from the lower edge; sew
baby rick rack over the name.
