News Notes From
Salvm
By Mri. Douglas Yancey
Well, this is Monday after Mo
thers Day and 1 expect there are
a lot of tired mamas around over
the county this morning, for most
families like to get together on
this special day. And where is
there a better place than a t
Mothers House?” Many families
here in Salem got together for
the occasion and since I do not
know who all visited their mothers
will just reverse the usual and
say that the better half and I
went to see our daughter, since
it was Dr. Taylor's weekend to
work and they couldn't come
home.
Another mother that was feted
by her children was Mrs. G. W.
Ramsey when that family got,
together at the Aaron Kemp home
for the day. Those to enjoy that
occasion were the Herbert Cook
family of Atlanta: Mr. and Mrs
Ramsey, the Douglas Robertson
family, the host and their
children.
Mr. and Mrs. Manson Miller
and Miss Mary Miller went to
McDonough to join the rest of
the Miller clan for the day.

visited their mother. Mrs. Rachel
Grier in Covington, Sunday.
Mrs. Charles Bell, who has had
surgery at Ga. Baptist Hospital,
is back home and her friends are
happy to learn that she is doing
fine. On Sunday afternoon. Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Dendy and children of
Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. F. H.
Dennis and daughter. Linda o f
Mableton visited Mr. and Mrs.
Bell.
Miss Leitha Cowan has been
sick for the past few days, we
regret to report.
Recent visitors in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Thomp
son Sr. were Mr. and Mrs. L. R.
Thompson and family of Decatur:
