An Orchid to all workers in
the Cancer Crusade of 1963!
That goes for t ;p officers and
Directors also! The entire Co
unty will be justly p.oud to
know that Newton County has
gone over the top ;.■) this Cru
sade! We have reached the
$3,500.0!) mark! When a few
others come in, or turn in very
small amounts we will be well
over the goal set tor us.
This is a heartwarming feel
ing, because many patients, now
living, and patients who have
gone on this year, have bene
fitted by our efforts. They re
ceived aid, when it was needed
from this fund. So we rejoice
that you, as individuals, and as
a County Unit, have had a part
in making not only our own
patients comfortable, but a
part in the National Research
Program: The Educational Pro
gram and every other phase of
the work.
Yes, we rejoice that we have
done our part! WE did "Better
Our Best for 1963". Oh there
are many who did not give a
dime. There are many who did
r.ot give more than a penny in
the recepticales placed around
business places; there are many
who did not realize that in try
ing to help save lives, that it
might be their own that they
would save' But. in the years
to come, looking back with
pride at this project, each one
will fall in line so that the
various district workers will
not have to work so hard.
We are pulling for the Heart
Fund, the Mental Health Fund
and all the others. Newton Co
