dinner guest of Mrs. Olen Gor
den at Redan on Tuesday.
Mrs. Minnie Davis of Atlan
ta spent the weekend with her
children, Rev. and Mrs. Charles
Moody and family.
Last Sunday night after
preaching services, we had an
off to college fellowship in
honor of Ronnie Lynch at the
Recreation Building. Ronnie
will be leaving this week for
Cochran, Ga.
“Work Day”— Next Satur
day.
Mrs. Minnie Davis was the

dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Cody, Helen and Jeannette,
Sunday.
The Young Matrons met at
the home of Mrs. Marie Dodd,
Saturday. Those present were
Lois Hamby, teacher; Marie
Dodd, Grace Piper, Lillian
Cox, Grace Stowe, Shirley
Cody, Lois Kitchens, Ruby Sul
livan, Betty Moody, and Nel
lie Hall. Our visitors were
Mrs. Minnie Davis and little
Ritia Hall. Our next meeting
will be at the recreation build-
ing. All members are urged to
be present. Officers for nexi
year will be elected.
There will be a miscellane
ous shower next Saturday at
the church in honor of Mrs.
Gloria Holifield Colbert.
Rev. and Mrs. Richard Goff
of Alabama were recently visi
tors in the home of Rev. and
Mrs. Charles Moody.
Miss Karen Dillingham was

Lawrence Bryant
Assigned to Army
Reserve School
ABERDEEN PROVING
GROUND, MD.—Army Reserve
Ist Lt. Lawrence A. Bryant,
son of Mrs. Dorothy G. Bry
ant, Covington, Ga., completed
two weeks of annual active
duty training at Aberdeen
Proving Ground, Md., Aug. 17.
Lieutenant Bryant is assign-
ed to the 3293 d U. S. Army
Reserve school in Chattanooga,
Tenn.
The lieutenant and his wife,
Mary, live at 6115 Vance rd.,
Chattanooga, Tenn. He is a
1952 graduate of Chattanooga
High School and a 1958 gradu
ate of Georgia Institute of
Technology in Atlanta, Ga.
The American textile indus
try produces approximately 12
each year, or enough to wrap
a yard-wide strip around the
earth 333 times.
