Mrs. Bohanan's
Father Claimed
By Death Friday
Services were held Sunday,
September 8. 1963, for Mr.
James A. Buchan, father of
Mrs. C. T. Bohanan of Coving
ton. These were conducted at
Trinity Chapel by Rev. Richard
Dodds. Pastor of Kirkwood ■
Presbyterian Church, of which I
Mr. Buchan was a member. In
terment was in Westview, At
lanta.
Mr. Buchan died suddenly at
bis home, 262 Norwood Ave.,
N. E., Atlanta, last Friday, in
his 83rd year.
A retired school teacher, Mr.
Buchan had made his home in
Atlanta for approximately the
last 25 years. Prior to retire- |
inent from his profession in'
1950 Mr. Buchan had taught in I
Walton County, having served !
as a teacher in the Loganville
school and at Monroe A and M.
He had also taught in Rockdale
County.
In Atlanta he had taught at
Tech High school and Georgia ।

Buchan is survived by wife,
three daughters and one son,
all of Atlanta, one son of Bar
। nesville, Ga., and a daughter of
| Wilmington, Del. Also a sister
of Alabama, of which he was a
native, and several grand-
I children.

Former Bibb
Employee, Dies
Sidney Troy Mobley, 60, of
Porterdale died on Monday,
September 9th in a private
hospital after a lingering ill
ness. He had been confined to
a private hospital for three
months. Mr. Mobley was a na
tive of Newton County, where
he was employed with Bibb
Manufacturing Company for
many years. He was a member
of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, September 11th at
4:00 p. m. at Grace Baptist
Church with Rev. Charles
Cowan pastor of the church,
officiating. Rev. Hudson Moody,
pastor of High Point Baptist
Church was the assisting minis
ter.
Interment was in Austin
Chapel Cemetery, near Coving
ton with J. C. Harwell and Son
Funeral Home in charge of ar
rangements.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs.
Carrie Lou Mobley; mother,

Funeral Held
Tuesday for Mrs.
B. A. Bouchillon
Mrs. Baxter A. Bouchillon, 77. of
604 N. Emory Street in Covington
died Monday, September 9th at
a private hospital after a very
short illness. Mrs. Bouchillon was
a member of the Shiloh Methodist
Church.
Funeral services were held on
Tuesday, September 10th at 3.00
p.m. at the Chapel of Harwell
Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome
Hamm, pastor of North Coving
ton Methodist Church, officiating,
with Rev. William Griffin, pastor
of Shiloh Methodist Church as
sisting.
Interment was in Covington
Cemetery with J. C. Harwell and i
Son Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements. '
Surviving are her husband,
Baxter A. Bouchillon; two sons, I
Ray Bouchillon, and William Bou
chillon, both of Milledgeville; ’
daughters, Mrs. O. N. Fisher, Ma
con; Mrs. Sara Kate Pratt, Cov- ;
ington: twelve grandchildren and
17 great grandchildren.

Final Rites Held
At Gay, Georgia
Mrs. Mary E. Fitzgerald, 81.
of Gay, Georgia died at her
residence on Sunday, Septem
ber Bth. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a
native of Meriwealher County.
Funeral services were held
on Wednesday, September 11th
at 11:00 a. m. at the Gay Bap
tist Church with Rev. C. R. Mc-
Cutcheon officiating.
Interment was in Crouch
Cemetery, Gay, Georgia with
Caldwell and Cowan Funeral
Home in charge of arrange
ments.
Surviving is one son, Ed
wards Fitzgerald, Niceville,
Florida; and one daughter, Mrs,
T. Emerson Wright, Atlanta;
grandsons, Harry Alford, Deca
tur; Cecil Alford, Stark, Miss
issippi; and three great grand
children.

Univ, of Georgia Alumni Seminar
ATHENS. Ga. — Graduates,
of the University of Georgia |

campus developments and the j
school’s contribution to 20th I
Century living by attending the!
Alumni Seminar, October 11-
12.
The program is designed to
appeal to the special interests
oi all graduates and is set up
on a family basis which enables
children 11 years and older to
enjoy the campus atmosphere
and receive answers about col
legiate activity which they pro
bably will be concerned with
in the future.
A bus ride to Clemson, S. C..
for the Georgia-Clemson game
is included in the package and
eliminates parking problems
among other things. A box
lunch and ticket to the game is
included. The total cost of the
package, excluding meals and
room, is $12.00.
The opening session is Friday
night at the Georgia Center for
Continuing Education. There
will be sessions Saturday morn
ing, but Saturday evening and
Sunday are free for the partici
pants to tour the new science
center, and other points of in
terest, on campus.
The annually Shrine sponsor
ed freshman game will be play
ed in Athens Saturday night
