Contract Renewed
ATHENS. Ga. — The Uni

Business Research has signed
a contract to continue its re
search on tourism for the Geor

and Trade for another year.
This is the fourth year that
the University has conducted
such a program. Tire contract
calls for the Bureau to process
information from the Sylvania
and Savannah Tourist Infor
mation Centers and any others
opened during the year.
Tourism research has been
responsible for some signifi

I forts to lure tourists, accord-
I ing to Dr. William B. Keeling,
director of the University Bu

: gram.
For one thing, surveys have
shown that historical attrac
tions are extremely important
in pulling tourists into the
state. More emphasis is put on
these attractions now, he said.
