Good morning! Hope everyone
feels good and enjoying life.
Wasn’t the snow pretty? The small
fry really had themselves a ball,
but poor mother had a job keep
ing things in shipshape. Well, any
way we’re glad it is gone.
Attendance for church services
was fair. Hope everyone started
New Year right by being i n
church. We welcome you to wor
ship with us at anytime.
Many are sick with colds, chick
en pox, mumps, etc., so to all of
our shut-ins, we hope you will
soon be well and able to be out.
To our bereaved neighbors, our
hearts go out in sympathy in your
dark hours.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Greg, the proud parents of a big
boy, born Friday night at New
ton County Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Olin Fincher and
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bailey visit
ed Mr. and Mrs. Dilmus Hay and
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Bailey o f
Conyers Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. H. E. McCart returned
home Friday after an extended
visit with Mr. and Mrs. Tilman
McCart and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie
Kinnett of Barnesville and Mrs.
E. Z. Carter of Jackson.
Claude Reed of Tampa and
Robert Terry Reed of Amarillo
Air Force Base. Texas was called
to the bedside of their sick father,
Loyd H. Reed, who is in Gaines
ville Hospital, Saturday night.
Sorry to hear of Mr. Reed's ill
ness and we send best wishes for
his recovery.
Mrs. R. L. House, Miss Cheryl
McMicheal and Tommy Wiley
visited the I. T. Wileys late Sun
day afternoon.
Robert Young and Mrs. Rom
Stowe were honored Sunday by a
birthday dinner given by Mrs.
Young. Those enjoying the occa
sion besides the honored guests
were Rom Stowe, Mr. and Mrs.
L. D. Johnston, Mrs. Lenore Clif
ton, Bobby and Johnny Hamby.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Algood and
Donna, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Al
good.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCart of
Almon visited Mrs. H. E. McCart
Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs, Dewey Mann and
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gibbs Sr. were
Saturday night supper guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Marion Goins.
Mrs. C. E. Young and Mrs.
Mary F. Reed visited Mrs. P.
D. Young and sisters at Oakwood
Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Homer Wilson. Miss Gloria
Wilson and Robert spent Sunday
morning with the W. A. Malcolms
of Monroe.
Little Miss Janet Washington of
Worthville was weekend guest of
Judy Granger.
Mrs. Olin Fincher and Lamar,
Mrs. Edward Cowan. Misses Eddye
and Catherine Cowan visited re
latives in Greenville, S. C. Sun
day through Tuesday of last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. James Hays were
guests of Mrs. Ethel Hays Sun
day afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Mann Sr. of
Monticello spent Monday morning
with Mrs. Olin Fincher.
Mr. and Mrs. T. 0. Chapman
of Almon: Mrs. W. R. Chapman
and Bill Pickett of Decatur visited
Mrs. Mary Pickett during the
afternoon Sunday.
Mrs. W. 8. Anglin and Mr.

awhile Sunday afternoon with Mr.
and Mrs. A. H. Hamby of A 1-
Covy.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ellington
of Atlanta visited J. Tom Elling
ton Sunday.

Smith of Atlanta visited Mr. and
Mrs. V. W. Bouchillon on Sun

Mrs. John Mask Sr. was honored
by her children on her 80th birth
day Sunday with a birthday din
ner. Those enjoying the occasion
were Mr. and Mrs. Hallux Patter
son of Decatur; Mr. and Mrs.
Jerry Clemons of Pine Lake;
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Patterson
of Lithonia; Mr. and Mrs. Robert
