MOST IMPORTANT
The most important parts of
the house structure are the
“floor joists” which carry tame
weight of the entire dwelling
and all its occupants and con
tents.
Lumber for fioor joists
should be stable and uniform
in size as well as strong. This
prevents squeaky floors and
keeps the home on an even
keel.
According to the Southern
Pine Association, such assur
ances exist when the lumber is
properly seasoned and pre
shrunk.
