Irene Harvey returned Friday
from Decatur and Atlanta where
they had spent a few days. Miss
Harvey went to an eye specialist
there. They were accompanied
home by Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Hearn
of Decatur who spent Friday
evening and Saturday with them.

TROOP 1066 VISITS WAII-TV
Last Friday afternoon, the Ox
ford Girl Scout Troop 1066 had a
very enjoyable and Informative
trip to WAD-TV.
It was so much fun for all of us
to visit Channel 11 behind the see
nes for a unique look at television
in action. Miss Ruth Letowsky
directed the tour of the station
and was ready to answer the many
questions that came up.
All of the girls were present for
the trip. Mrs. James Dobbs, Mrs.
J. S. Branham, and Mrs. Benny
Knight took care of the transpor
tation for us.
On the way back we stopped at
a "Burger-King" and had ham
burgers with aD the trimmings.
