Says ..
When the Virgin Mary brought
forth her miraculously concelved
son, Jesus Christ, wrapped Him
in swaddling clothes and laid
Him in the manger in Bethlehem
she extablished the Universal
FOCUS,
THE FOCUS OF ALL TIME,
Today all over the world time
{s recorded as B, C, and A, D,
measuring before Christ and the
year of the Lord,
THE FOCUS OF ALL BIBLICAL
PROPHECY.
For since, after the fall of
Adam and Eve, God condemned
Satan, and said to him, ‘I will
put enmity between thee and the
woman, and between thy seedand
her seed; and it shall bruise
thy head, and thou shalt bruise
his heel.” (Gen. 3:16) All th
rough the Bible the coming of
this ‘‘Seed’’ is prophesied, and
the prophecy was then fulfilled.
THE FOCUS OF THE HOPE OF
SALVATION FOR THE HUMAN
RACE.
“For there is none other name
under heaven given among men,
whereby we must be saved.”
Acts 4:12
Since the life, death, resur
rection and ascension of Jesus
Christ all hope of future life
radiates from that FOCUS.
Not withstanding the climactic
happenings related about that
event -- the announcement by
the angels to the shepherds --
the visit of the wise men =-
the murder of the bables of
Bethlehem by Herod == life moved
along slowly, as ‘‘The Child
grew” and thirty years passed
before He entered into the work
He had come to earth to do,
and finally accomplished.
puring those thirty years
others were also growing who
would later come into contact
with Jesus during this ministry.
What about them?
Thinking of them a poet has
produced an interesting little
verse published recently in The
Methodist Woman, It is thought
provoking, I quote it:
The First Christmas
Peter was a fisher boy helping
with the haul;
pilate was a shavetail leading
troops in Gaul;
Judas was as innocent as a little
child can be;
The wood that made the crucifix
was still a growing tree,
Unminted was the silver that
made the traitor’s pay;
And none had yet commercialized
the spirit of the day.
Keith Preston
1 had hoped to send a note of
thanks to each friend who sent
