Tax Rate Same
In Year 1965
“There has been no increase
in the social security tax rate for
employees, employers, and the
self~employed for 1965, Mr,
E., L, Rawls, district manager
of social security in Atlanta,
stated today., The rate contin
ues at 3 5/8 percent of an ine
dividual’s annual earnings up to
S4BOO for employer and employ=
ee alike, and 5.4 percent on net
earnings up to that amount for
the self~employed, he said,

considered by Congress in 1964

were sent out in sample lots
