Try to Imagine what it would
be like to keep house and care
for your family in a wheelchair!
Try making a bed or cooking a
meal sitting in a chair. Impos
sible? No, indeed! Hundreds of
Georgia disabled housewives are
able to do these things because
Easter Seals therapists have
taught them how. Give to Eas
ter Seals—generously!
Even in this enlightened day
and age there are crippled
children who are not receiving
care and treatment for their
disabilities. If YOU know of a
child needing care, tell the
parents to contact the Easter
Seal Society. The FIRST STEP
IS YOURS! Your gift to Easter
Seals!

—crippled children with stout
hearts and rugged determina
tion. Their every effort Is a
struggle, byt skilled Easter Seal
therapists are helping them to
win. You can help, too. Again
we say, the first step is yours,
your gift to Easter Seals.
Last year, the Easter Seal
Equipment Loan Service in Geor
gia sent out 646 wheel chairs,
walkers, crutches and other aids
on free ioans to crippled children
and adults. In the past four
years, over half a million dollars
has been spent in care and treat
ment of crippled children and
adults. Your help made this
possible! So give generously
this month.
The Easter Seal Society Is the
only voluntary health agency that
offers care and treatment of all
kinds of crippling disabilities,
regardless of age or ability to
pay for services received. 13,800
physical therapy sessions were
given in Georgia Easter Seal
facilities to crippled children and
adults during 1964.

Her daughter was yet with her

You know people everywhere
ask the question WHY do they
call a ship a “She?" We have
the answer for you, a clipping
which we found In our desk, and
remember clipping long ago,
when we were boating. It tells
you, thusly, why it is called a
“She." “They are useless with

from abroad. They look best when
rigged. They are upright in stays.
They are often painted. They
are sometimes abandoned. They

There has been a steady rise
in the Cancer Death Rate in
Georgia. In 1950 there were
97.1 in every 100,000 popula

and in 1962—112.7 per 100,000
people. BUT--except for LUNG
CANCER, age adjusted death rat
