The Estherian Sunday School
Class of the First Baptist Church
met at the home of Mrs. C. G,
Henderson on Thursday night,
September 16, with 11 members
and one visitor, Miss India Full
erton of Hillsboro, the sister of
Mrs. Henderson, attending.
A short business meeting was
presided over by Mrs. Leo Mal=
lard in the absence of the presi
dent. It was decided to change
the meeting date to the first
Thursday of the month. Officers
for the new year were announced
by the nominating committee as:
President, Mrs. Joe Hooten;
vice=-president, Mrs. Frank Rid
ling; secretary, Miss Virginia
Merck; treasurer, Mrs. T, D,
Trainer; corresponding secre
tary, Mrs. Donald Chambers and
reporter, Mrs. Walter Stokes.
During the social hour games
were conducted by Mrs. Frank
Ridling with winners given book
markers which were found in
the Bible after they had read
aloud the verse found on the
marker.
Sandwiches, cookies, nuts and
punch were served by the re
freshment committee.

five open tieres of the beautifully
embosses white and green de
corated wedding cake were held
by white swans and topped with
a miniature bride and groom
posed under an arch of pearls
and lace and rested on a maline
base also decorated with white
rosettes and green leaves,
Antique brass epergnes flanking
the cake at efther end of the
table held twin arrangements of
daisies, mums, Bells of Ireland
and caladium leaves, The cake
was cut with a silver knife en
graved with the names and dates
of the couple and imprinted nap~
