A library of 31 long playing
high fidelity records, reprod=-
ucing the entire New English
Bible New Testament, and housed
in three handsome padded al
bums, has been delivered by
Kroger to over a dozen instit=
utions in the area, Included
are: The Georgia Baptist Child=-
ren’s Home; the Public Library;
the Methodist Children’s Home;
the Association for Retarded
Children; and several others,
The New English Bible New
Testament has been enthusiastic=
ally received and endorsed by
the principal religious leader=-
ship in America, including both
Protestant and Catholic, Bap
tist Evangelist John Haggai said,
‘“No greater public service of
my knowledge has been rendered
to any community by any ine
dustry, The translationis splen=-
did; the quality of recording is
superb, 1 congratulate The
Kroger Co, for making these
recordings available,”
The recordings were taped
under ideal acoustical conditions
in England under the auspices
of the Oxford and Cambridge
University Presses, Outstand
ing Christian actresses and act

Georgia’s Non-Farm
Employment Shows

Gain In Past Year
Georgia’s nonfarm wage and
salary employment continued to
break records in August, totalling
1,243,400 workers, according to a
report made today by Commiss
joner of Labor Ben T, Huiet.
This is anincrease of 10,400 over
the previous high of last month
and 56,500 higher than August
1964.
Manufacturing employment has
risen steadily throughout the
year, setting new all time highs
each month since February.
Average weekly earnings in
manufacturing showed little
change from July as” workers
received $82.40 for 41.2 hours at
$2.00 per hour.
