New Year’s Dance
The New Year’s social season,
for the younger set, was launched
with a seml-formal dance, on
Saturday evening at the Teen
Building, when Lisa Callaway,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. E.
Callaway, and Jud Callaway, son
of Dr. and Mrs. Jordan Callaway,
were honored by their parents
upon the occasion of their birth
days.
Clusters of multi-colored bal
loons and bells, confetti, decora
tive streamers and “Happy New
Year” banners were used at van
tage points to accentuate the sea
sonal theme. The refreshment
table with a colorful New Year’s
cloth, featured a centerpiece of
blue, New Year’s bells, flanked
by silver candlesticks holding
glowing white candles. The two
crystal punch bowls, silver trays
of tasty party sandwiches and
cookies, and New Year’s napkins
perfected the appointments.
Miss Callaway wore a white
formal dress, with blue sequin
traced bodice.
The Mystics furnished music
for the festive occasion, which
assembled some seventy-five
friends of the honor guests.
