hereinafter called petitioners,
respectfully shows:
1.
Petitioners desire for them
selves, their associates and suc
cessors to be incorporated under
the name of “SOUTHE RN
STATES SPRING COMPANY,
INC.”
2.
The object of said corporation
is pecuniary gain and profit.
3.
The general nature of the busi
ness or businesses to be trans
acted is as follows: To manage
and operate a plant or factory for
the production, fabrication,
manufacture, sale of springs and
metal products designed for
homes and buildings; to act as
dealers for other manufactures to
like products and hold and own
franchises and agencies In con
nection therewith, to acquire by
purchase, lease, option, contract,
or otherwise and to hold, own,
maintain, manage, work, de
velop, sublet, sell, exchange,
mortgage, encumber, hypothe
cate, bond, or dispose of both
real and personal property of
every kind and nature whatso
ever as the management and op
eration of said business and busi
nesses may relate and connect
same to the object of said cor
poration.

Petitioners further desire that
said corporation be vested with
all the right and powers now or
hereafter given to do any and all
things which may be needful or
proper in the operation of the
above described business, and
that said corporation have all of
the powers enumerated in Sect
ions 22-1827 and 22-1828, Geor
gia Code Annotated, and such
powers as may hereafter be given
by law.

The maximum number of
shares of stock shall be One Hun
dred Thousand (100,000) of the
par value of One Dollar ($1.00)
per share, all of which shall be
common stock. However, the
-amount of capital stock with which
the corporation shall begin busi
ness shall be not less than Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).
The corporation shall be author
ized to Issue additional sharesup
to the maximum sum above stat
ed, and thereafter, from time to
time, to reduce the amount of
capital outstanding, but not below
the minimum above stated, and
thereafter, from time to time, to
reduce the amount of capital out
standing, but not below the mini
mum above stated, and all this,
upon a majority vote of the Board
of Directors, approved by a two
thirds majority vote of the stock
holders.
6.
The time for which the corpor
ation is to have existence is
thirty-five (35) years, with the
privilege of renewal of the char
ter, from time to time, upon the
expiration of said periods of
thirty-five years.
7.
The county in which the prin
cipal office of the corporation
is to be located is Newton County,
Georgia, but the privilege is de
sired of establishing branch of
fices and places of business both
within and without the State of
Georgia.
8.
The post office address of each
and all of the applicants for char
ter Is as set out at the beginning
of this petition.
9.
Petitioners further desire that
by-laws of the corporation shall
be adopted by the common stock
holders, and such by-laws shall
provide for the officers of the
corporation, the manner of their
selection, and such other rules
appropriate to by-laws which
have as their purpose the control
and management of the corpora
tion, including provisions where
by the by-laws may be amended.

Your petitioners herewith ex
hibit a certificate of the Secre
tary of the State of Georgia as
required by Section 23-1803,
Georgia Code Annotated.
11.
WHEREFORE, petitioners
pray to be incorporated under
the name and style aforesaid with
all the rights, privileges, and im
munities as may be necessary,
proper or-incident to the conduct
of the business aforesaid, and as
may be Inherent in or allowed to
like corporations under the laws
of the State of Georgia as they
now exist or may hereafter exist.

seven weeks of basic training at
the Naval Training Center here.
Under the supervision of veter
an Navy petty officers, he is re
ceiving instructions in naval his
tory and organization, customs
and coutesles, ordnance and gun
nery, seamanship, damage con
trol, firstald, swimming and sur
vivial, shipboard drills and and
sentry duty.
Military drills are emphasized
during recruit training, and with
various inspections and a planned
physical fitness program, keep
the recruits mentally and physi
cally alert.
