All citizens owning dogs are advised to
have their dogs inoculated for rabies. A
concerted effort will be made to catch all
dogs that have not been inoculated this
year. On and after May 1, 1966, those
dogs caught that have not been innocu
lated will be impounded for (3) days and if
not claimed during that period will be
destroyed.
We invite the cooperation of all our
citizens in carrying out this program of
protecting its citizens against rabies.
CITY OF COVINGTON

By

Your Telephone Manager
we heard about a stranger driving through a midwestern city
when his car stalled at a busy intersection. In his efforts
to get the car started he overexerted himself and became
ill. Two telephone company men happened along at just
that moment. They got the sick man an ambulance, called
his son, moved and locked his car, and brought the keys
to the hospital. Good Samaritans may not make the head
lines, but they do exist!

WANT TO DIAL DIRECT TO YOURAUNT
IN BOSTON AND DON’T KNOW HER
PHONE NUMBER? No problem! Just
call the Boston Long Distance Information
Operator. First dial “1”, then the Area
Code for Boston, and then 555-1212. The
Boston operator will give you the local
number. There’s no charge, of course.
(Once you’ve got it, why not jot it down
in a handy place for future calls?) Dialing
your own Long Distance calls is quick,
easy, and low-cost too, because you always
get the station-to-station rate. Sound
good? Why not call now. To Boston, or
San Francisco, or anywhere at all!

DISTRESS CALL ... So often
we read about calls for help be
ing ignored, or people looking
the other way when they see
someone in trouble. The heart
warming occasions when just the
opposite is true don't make the
headlines, but they happen just
the same. For instance, recently
daughter, to enjoy the occasion
with little Dell. The birthday
table was overlaid with a white
linen cloth and centered with the
beautiful chocolate cake decor
ated with white icing and yellow
and green roses topped with

Those present to honor him
with many beautifully wrapped
gifts and help celebrate the oc
casion were Mr. and Mrs. Steele,
Mrs. Clifton Freeman, Mr. and
Mrs. Olen Morris, Mrs. Mary

Mrs. Booth and Dell’s brother
and sister, Robin and Beverlee
