Petitioners desire for them

stock, with equal voting rights.
The amount of capital with which
said corporation shall begin bus
iness, however, shall be not less
than Two Hundred ($200.00) Dol
lars. The corporation shall be
authorized to Issue additional
shares up to the maximum sum
above stated, and thereafter,
from time to time, to reduce
the amount of capital outstanding
but not below the minimum above
stated, and all this, upon a ma
jority vote of the Board of Di
rectors, approved by a two-thirds
majority vote of the stockholders.

In addition to all other powers,
said corporation shall have the
power (a) to enter into guaran
ties, indorsements and contracts
of suretyship, whether or not the
corporation has an Interest in the
subject matter of such ob
ligations, and the power (b) to
enter into partnerships with other
corporations, partnerships or in
dividuals.

Veterans Home
Expansion Asked
ATLANTA—Pete Wheeler, Di
rector of the Department of Ve
terans Service, has asked the
General Assembly to expand and
improve the Georgia State War
Veterans Home at Milledgeville.
Speaking before the House and
Senate appropriations com
mittees, Mr. Wheeler said that
380 beds are now crammed into
the facility which has space for
only 300. Veterans are crowded
into squad room type wards of
fering no privacy, he said.
To correct this condition, and
to provide Georgia veterans with
needed bed space, Mr. Wheeler
requested the General Assembly
to appropriate $870,000 to be
used to construct a new 150-
bed wing.
Also included in the War Ve
terans Home budget request was
money for replacing obsolete and
worn out equipment and beds, and
money to increase the Home’s
staff to impove the level of care
and treatment.
