Succumbs At His
Porterdale Home
Frank Campbell of 23 North
Broad Street, Porterdale, pass
ed away at his home on Wednes
day, February 22, following a
lingering illness. A member of
Porterdale Baptist Church,
where he served as a deacon,
he was 60 years old, and a re
tired employee of Bibb Manufac
turing Company.
Funeral services were held on
Thursday afternoon, February
23, at porterdale Baptist Church
with Rev. 11. N. Earnest, pastor
of the church, officiating. Inter
ment was in Lawnwood Memorial
Park, Covington, with pallbear
ers being Hubert Elkins, James
Head, W. T. Preston, Harry Can-

Mrs. Reagan
Died Sunday
Funeral services were held
Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 2 P.M. for
Mrs. W. L. Reagan of 307 Church
Street, Covington. Mrs. Reagan
died on Sunday at her home after
a lengthy Illness.
The service was held at the
Chapel of Harwell Funeral Home
in Covington. The officiating
minister was the Rev. Thomas
J. White, pastor of the Covington
First Presbyterian Church. Bur
ial was In the Liberty Cemetery,
near Covington. Harwell Funeral
Home of Covington was in charge
of the arrangements.
Survivors Include daughters;
Mrs. C. L. Wilson of Covington,
Mrs. W. L. Ellis of Atlanta, and
Miss Kathryn Reagan of Coving
ton; sons; A. J. Reagan of
Miami, Fla., Vester Reagan of
Rome, Ga., H. E. Reagan of
Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hugh
D. Reagan of Auburn, Ala., and
Max Reagan of Porterdale. A
large number of grandchildren
and great-grandchildren also
survive Mrs. Reagan.
Mrs. Reagan was a member
of the Mt. Pleasant Church. She
was a native of Newton County.
Grandsons served as pallbear
ers.

Death Claims
W. T. Morrow
In Walton Co.
M. T. Morrow passed away on
February 14 at Walton County
Hospital, where he was a patient
for a short time. He was an in
valid for several years at his
home near Newborn. He and his
wife had just moved to Walton
County about two weeks before
his death. He was a retired far
mer and beloved citizen of his
community. Mr. Morrow was 78
years old.
He was a member of Shiloh
Baptist Church near Newborn
where impressive funeral ser
vices were conducted Wednesday
afternoon, February 15, by the
Rev. Alton Miller and the Rev.
Earl Howard. Pallbearers were
Hoyt Howard, Norris Bryans, Ed
ward Bryans, George Spearman,
Thomas Wagner, Hulon Adams,
Ralph Johnson and Paul Holmes.
Interment was in Shiloh Baptist
Church cemetery.
Survivors of the immediate fa
mily are his wife, the former
Miss Sarah Folds; four children:
Clarence Morrow of Social Cir
cle, Harold T. Morrow of New
born, Mrs. Wallace Tucker of
Social Circle, Mrs. Odise Mash
burn of Terrell, Texas;brothers:
John Morrow of Bowdon, Troy
Morrow of Ellaville; sister, Mrs.
Tom Spears of Atlanta; sister
in-law, Mrs. Clule Morrow of
Decatur; 13 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.

Porterdale Church
Sets Revival
For March 2-12
The Community Church of Je
sus Christ, located about one
quarter mile South of Porterdale
on Highway 81, is pleased to an
nounce that revival services will
begin on March 2 and continue
through March 12.
Rev. and Mrs. Tony Carson of
Memphis, Tennessee will be the
evangelists for this series of
meetings. We feel that all who
come will enjoy the music, sing
ing and preaching of this dedi
cated young couple.
The pastor, R. M. Parnell, on
behalf of the church extends to
the public a most cordial Invita
tion to attend these services be
ginning each evening at 7:30
P.M.

Held Sunday
For Mrs.Gaddy
Mrs. Emma Gaddy of Route 3,
Covington, died in a private hos
pital Friday, Feb. 24. She was
55 years of age.
Funeral services for Mrs.
Gaddy were held Sunday at Salem
Methodist Church at 3 o’clock
with Harwell Funeral Home In
charge of the arrangements. Rev.
Charles Thomas was the minis
ter officiating at the service.
Burial was in the Salem Ceme
tery.
A native of Newton County,
Mrs. Gaddy was a retired em
ployee of Bibb Manufacturing
Company at Porterdale.
Survivors Include one daugh
ter Mrs. Eugene Lazenby of Cov
ington; brothers, T. W. Binford
of Newborn, and Troy Binford
of Decatur; and two sisters, Mrs.
Alfred Grant of Newborn, and
Mrs. Jim Canup of Porterdale.
Also six grandchildren survive.

B. (Buddy) White of Route 1,
Jackson, Worthville Commun
ity, were held Sunday, Feb. 26
at the Worthville Baptist Church.
Mr. White was 48 years of age
at the time of his death.
Mr. White was a brother of
Mrs. E. M. McCart and Lewis
White of Covington.
An employee of Stone Mountain
Industries, McDonough, Mr.
White was a member of the
Worthville Baptist Church, Wor
thville Masonic Lodge, the Amer
ican Legion and the Disabled
American Veterans (DAV). The
