an interesting social event, when
Capt. and Mrs. Billy Aiken, who
will leave in the near future to
make their home at Ft. Dix,
N. J., were honored at a tea
by Mesdames Ira Dickerson,
Clifford Branan and Fred Mar
tin.
The guest book was kept by
for surgery on his eyes on the
16th. of this month. He will be
in the hospital for 10 to 15 days.

a daughter, Olive Lois, born May
3, at Newton County Hospital.
The grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. J. N. Bohannon Sr. of Hay
ston and Mr. S. M. Ellington and
the late Mrs. Ellington of Oxford.
The baby has been named for her
two grandmothers, the late Mrs.
Ellington and Mrs. Bohannon.
