Parent Youth Council Post-Graduate
Breakfast Among Season's Highlights
The Post Graduate breakfast,
tendered by the Parent Youth
Council Tuesday evening, at the
Home of Covington Elks, who
assisted In entertaining was one
of the highlights of the season
for over one hundred NCHS grad
uates and their dates.

an honor graduate. He has ac
cepted a post as an evangelist
to build a new church in a new
subdivision there.

Ronald E. Carter Joins
First National Bank Staff
President Grady Coleman an
nounced this week that Ronald E.
Carter has joined the staff of
First National Bank of Newton
County. He will be in a manage
ment training program learning
all phases of commercial bank
ing.
Mr. Carter was bom in Port
erdale and attended public school
In Newton County. He graduated
from Newton County High School
in 1960. While attending high sc
hool he was co-captain of the
Varsity Football team his se
nior year. He also served as
vice president of his Sophomore,
Junior and Senior class.
After graduating he attended
West Georgia College for two
years where he helped organize
the Men’s Athletic Association
and served as its first presi
dent.
Mr. Carter has been employed
for the last four years by a ma
jor Insurance company at their
home office in Atlanta. While
with the Insurance company he
worked In Its Fire Department
dealing with local agents through
out the State of Georgia.
Mr. Carter is married to the
former Elizabeth Ann Wright of
Kirkwood, Missouri. They have
one young son, Ronald E. Carter,
Jr. and make their home at 4147
Middlebrooks Street, Covington.
Mr. Carter and his family
are members of the First Bap
tist Church In Covington where
he teaches a Sunday School class
in the Junior Department.

Meet Tonight
The Pilot Club will meet Thu
rsday night, June 1, at the Lions
Club Pavilion. The Executive Bo
ard meets at 7:15, foHowed by
the business meeting and a cook
out.
Public Relations Committee
with Mrs. Anne Brooks, Chair
man, will be in charge of the
meeting.
Covington Elkadettes will have
a Hot Dog sale on the square in
Covington on Saturday, June 3.
Proceeds will go to Aidmore Hos
pital.
