In medical treatment, according
to John E. Baugher, presiding
minister of the Covington con

Jehovah’s Witnesses have of
ten been criticized because they
refuse to take blood transfusions,
which they feel is a violation of
God’s law as stated In the Bible,

ing doctors and hospitals the le
gal right to give any treatment
they deem necessary to children,
despite religious objections of
the parents. “This could lead
to such things as court-ordered
abortions to protect the health

Gasoline Tax Facts
Georgia is one of only six states that apply sales
tax to gasoline. (The others are New York, Michi
gan, Illinois, Indiana and Mississippi.)
Gasoline taxes are higher in this state than any
of the surrounding states, with state tax, 4$
federal and 7/10$ state sales taxes.
Per capita motor fuel taxes in Georgia are 10%
higher than the U. S. average.
The actual retail price of gasoline is 23.4$ per
gallon—but look at the pump price after taxes are
added!
