1967 Car Retrieved From Lake
THIS 1967 FORD LTD was pulled from Jackson Lake on June 10
after it was reported stolen at the Davis House Kentucky Fried
Chicken Store in Covington, The car is owned by Joe R, Butler, an
employee of the Fried Chicken firm, The Newton Sheriffs’ office
said that the vehicle was not stripped,
and Mitze of Covington.

the famous Old Hickory (30th Di
vision) Division, from through
out the nation, will gather in a
National Reunion at the Jack
Tar Durham Hotel and Motor
Lodge July 4,5, and 6, 1967,
The reunion will commemo=-
rate the 50th Anniversary of the
famed ‘‘Old Hickory” Division,
Governor Dan Moore has de
signed July 2-8, 1967 as ‘“3oth
Division Week in North Caro=-
lina’* and commends the obser
vance as being a worthwhile en
deavor,
Several ‘‘reunions within a re
union’”” will be held, The 30th
Infantry Division Band, directed
by CWO Millard P, Burt since
prior to their entry into World
War I, will give an outdoor band
concert during the reunion, CWO
Burt invites all previous mem=-
bers of the band to join in the
concert, Major General Ellis
W, Williamson, now command=
ing Fort Polk, Louisiana and who
was a former member of the band
is expected to conduct part of the
concert, All former 30th Divis=
ion bandsmen are requested to
