se at Lackland AFB, Tex.
Sergeant Mobley, previously
assigned to Francis E. Warren
AFB, Wyo., will be an official
Air Force recruiter at Richmond,
Va. He was picked for the spe
cial assignment as a volunteer
with an outstanding military re
cord.
The sergeant was trained in 11
areas of study, including the Air
Force job classification system
testing procedures and commun
ity relations to broaden his quali
fications for presenting the facts
of Air Force career opportuni-
ties to young men and women.
Sergeant Mobley, who served
during the Korean War, is a
graduate of Covington High Sc
hool.

Capt. Marcus H. Coody, an in
structor in the 3637th Student
Squadron, was selected as the
outstanding helicopter academic
instructor of Class 68-02 at Shep
pard Technical Training Center.
Capt. Coody was selected by
the class members who are in
training here for the H-43 Heli
copter Conversion Course. The
12-week course is to familiarize
the students with the instruments
of the H-43.
He was chosen from a field of
eight instructors on the basis of
his outstanding knowledge of the
course, procedures of instruc
tion, military bearing and his
attitude toward the students.
For the honor, Lt. Col. John
L. Wilkinson, commander, 3637th
Student Squadron, presented the
captain a plaque citing him as
outstanding instructor. R. W.
Mcßride, president of the South
west National Bank, presented
him a certificate for an evening
out for two couples at the ex
pense of the bank, the squadron
sponsor.

tered the Army in April 1967

The 21-year-old soldier was
graduated from Newton County
High School, Covington, in 1964.

Unit.”
Sgt. Stone Is now on an op
eration north of Lai Khe, where
his unit is repairing an airstrip
in a Special Forces camp. He
will be there until he is rotated
home around the middle of Octo
ber.

dollar at birth, grow to a weight
of 300 pounds within seven years.
In ten years the loggerhead may
reach an adult size of nearly 400
pounds and five feet in length.
