He saw the grace of God. Rev.
White also said that Isaiah heard
God say "Who will go for me?”
and Isaiah answered, "Here am
I God send me.” Rev. White
said that today when a person
is too busy for the business of
God it is a dangerous thing. He
said there was no excuse for
idleness, littleness or criticism
in the world today. Rev. White
closed with prayer.
A short business meeting was
then held. The minutes of the
last meeting were read and ap
proved by the secretary, Mrs.
Jimmy Williams. Mrs. James
Cheek, Sunshine Chairman, gave
a report of cards sent, and those
to send cards to were reported.
The president reported she had
received three thank you notes
from the Downs family, Mrs.
Martha Williams and Miss Sara
Mobley.
Mrs. Dan Clower announced
that Robert Shrider, Executive
Director of Bethlghem Center
and Wesley House in Atlanta
had passed away at the age of 39.
Mr. Shrider had spoken to our
Woman’s Society of Christian
Service several months ago. A
motion was made and carried
that we send a Memorial of $5.00
in his name to the Center in
Atlanta.
TTie president reminded the
members that we still have a few
boxes of note paper left. If any
one wishes to get a box, they
may contact Mrs. Ruth Taylor.

a letter she had received from
Dean Bond Fleming, Emory at
Oxford, announcing "Day On
Campus” to be held on Tuesday,
February 6, at Oxford College. It
begins at 4:00 in the afternoon
and is over at 8:45. Guests will
have supper at 6;00 with the stu
dents. Price of the meal will be
a very small amount.

Men’s Day Set

be Baptist Men’s Day in the
Church. At Calvary Baptist
Church the men will participate
in the services at both the morn
ing and evening worship hour.
