1. Cards of Thanks
We would like to take this op

Almon who unselfishly assisted
in putting out the kitchen fire at
our home on January 27. Your
efforts in putting out the fire kept
it from spreading. We appreciate
everything that was done.

Each member of the family of
Mr. Henry Norman would like to

“Thank You” for the beautiful
flowers, cards, prayers, and tr

bereavement of our beloved hus

We do not have the words to
try and thank each of you, but a
special thanks go to the Newton

to Dr. Callaway.

We shall ever cherish your th

2. In Memoriam
In the morning of January 12,
1968 the death angel took from
us our beloved Miss Ruth Davis.
During her illness of three weeks
in the hospital hopes for her re
covery grew dimmer and dimmer
for neither medical aid, doctor,
nurses, or the many prayers
could halt the fatal disease. We
feel deeply the loss of a loyal
and devoted friend, but we are
grateful for her life in our midst.
She was a member of Hopewell
Associate Reformed Presby
terian Church. She was faithful
In attendance of church, Sunday
School and Women’s Missionary
Society. Her place was never
vacant If she was able to be
there. She was a genial suppor
ter to both church and society.
She was always ready to do her
part as she was interested In all
phases of the church. She was
treasurer of the Woman’s Mis
sionary Society for 44 years. Sie
was a trustee of the church for
many years and was also sec
retary and treasurer of the Sun
day School for years. Her life of
service is ended, but her influe
nce will live on.
Her home was always open to
her pastor and friends. “Miss
Ruth” was interested in the acti
vities of the community. Sie was
known throughout the county and
has heard His, “well done thou
good and faithful servant,” and
has gone home. We cherish her
memory and extend our loving
sympathy to her loved ones, com
mending them to Him who doeth
all things well.
In loving memory of our dear
husband and father, Ira Alexan
der, who passed away one year
ago, January 28, 1967.
One sad and lonely year has
passed
Since our great sorrow fell.
The shock that we received
that day,
We still remember well.
We think of you in silence,
No one knows how much we
weep.
But many tears are shed,
While others are asleep.
Only God knows how much we
miss you.
Never shall your memory fade;
Loving thoughts shall always
wander
To the spot where you are
laid.
God knew your cross was
heavy, ,
And your pain hard to bear;
Though you’re gone, you still
exist,
As a pleasant memory in our
midst.
