Covington Pilot Club Entertains
At Presbyterian Church Party
The Pilot Club of Covington
entertained at a delightful party
Wednesday, April 10, in the Fel
lowship Hall of the First Pres
byterian Church. Serving as
pilot Club hostesses were, Miss
Ellen Daniel, Mesdames E. A.
Manley, M M. Osman, Jack Al
len, S. M. Hay, Fred Kitchens,
Ty Cason and Lou Daws. Mrs.
J. B. Dial, Chairman Community
Service Committee, was in
charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Manley, local club pre
sident, welcomed the following

Mrs. Odum entertained the
group with several humorous
readings. She conducted a con
test and gave several copies of
her original writings as awards
to the winners.
Tammy Hammond, accompan
ied by her mother, Mrs. Gene
Hammond at the piano, sang sev
eral numbers Including "Were
You There?” and other enjoy
able numbers. Mrs. S. M. Hay
rendered several selections on
the accordian; Mrs. Fred Kit
chens gave two humorous read
ings and Mrs. Hay and Mrs. Kit
chens presented their "Party
Line” skit.
Attractive Easter baskets fil
led with Easter candy and a
recipe for a Bible Cake were
given the guests.
The hostesses served punch
and cookies from a beautifully
appointed refreshment table.
Myra and Molly Manley assisted
in serving.
