WYLLY FOLK ST. JOHN, who lives in Social Circle, has published
her second juvenile mystery book and sold adaptation rights to
Walt Disney production firm.
Wylly Folk St. John Publishes
Second Juvenile Mystery Story
"Did you like Mrs. St. John’s
new mystery?" the young reader
was asked.
"Oh, yeeeessssssss."
“Well, why did you like it?"
"Because it is so exciting,"
she explained. "Your mind just
makes you keep reading more
and more until you’ve finished
it."
Wylly Folk St. John of Social
Circle is accumulating a grow
ing following of youthful read
ers, many of whom are too young
to enjoy her feature articles that
appear regularly in the Atlanta
Journal Sunday Magazine Section.
Her second juvenile mystery
story, "The Secrets of the Pi
rate Inn," made its appearance
Monday, published by Viking
■Press.
With the book came the an
nouncement that Walt Disney pro
ductions firm has already bought
the adaptation rights for their
"Wonderful World of Color."
The characters in Wylly St.
John’s first juvenile mystery,
"The Secrets of Hdden Creek,"
were drawn from her own grand
children. After its publication,
three nieces and nephews begged
her to write a story for them.

Council For More Highway Safety
Although the recently-adjour
ned Georgia General Assembly
enacted more traffic safety le
gislation than ever before, the
President of the Georgia Safety
Council is already pushing for
more.
James R. Golden, President
of the Georgia Safety Council,
writing for the Council’s month
ly publication of TRAF-FACTS,
points out that Georgia is still
"very weak in emergency treat
ment in highway accidents”. He
says, "We expect to move in
this area.”

Driver Education will be a key
item in the next Traffic Safety
Package. He claims that de

James R. Golden also declared

will undoubtedly make an all
out effort for some type of phy
