didacy for the Board of Newton
County Commissioners for Dis
trict 1, subject to the Democratic
Primary, September 11, 1968.
If elected I pledge to fulfill
the duties of this office to the

Major Speech In
Atlanta, June 13
Montgomery, Ala. — Former
Alabama Governor George C.
Wallace will make a major pre
sidential campaign speech in At
lanta, Georgia, it was announced
by his campaign headquarters in
Montgomery.
Governor Wallace has not act
ively campaigned since the death
of his wife, Alabama Governor
Lurleen Wallace on May 7.
His trip to Georgia is expect
ed to draw capacity crowds in
Atlanta on Thursday, June 13.
He will make a major address
in this City at 8 p.m., preced
ed by a $25 per person fund
raising dinner at 6 p.m.
The Atlanta rally will be held
at the Atlanta Municipal Audi
torium, 30 Courtland St., S. E.
The dinner, at which he will also
speak, will be held at the Mar
riott Hotel, at 6 p.m., and will
be open to all his supporters.
The Atlanta trip is part of
a 11 day Southern tour that in
cludes 11 cities in the eight
Southeastern States.
Advanced parties from the
Wallace National Headquarters in
Montgomery will be in Atlanta
a week prior to the arrival of
the third party presidential can
didate to help organize the ap
pearances and assist in raising
campaign funds.
All rallies will be open to the
public without admission.
